Founded in
1974 by brothers Manfred and Gunther Kunath, who brought a
combined 25 years of stamping and Tool and Die experience to
their new company, K & K Die, Inc. found itself in capable
hands. The early years were busy building Progressive and
Line Dies as well as prototype parts.
In 1977 K & K Die, Inc. was producing stamped metal components
and assemblies. As time progressed and the company became
more product-oriented, dies began to be build for in-house use
only. Over the next two decades, consistent growth
continued with the addition of capital equipment and continual
upgrades in technology. K & K possesses the latest
capability in stamping, welding, machining and CAD technology.
In 2000, K & K
continued to supplement its growth by moving into a brand-new
56,000 sq. ft. building in Sterling Heights, MI. The
additional space provided the opportunity for the addition of
state-of-the-art robotic MIG and projection welding cells.
In 2004, K & K Die, Inc. has continued to grow with the addition
of 27,000 sq.ft. by acquiring the building directly next door to
the main building.
The new
millennium finds K & K Die, Inc. poised to serve the needs of a
global automotive industry with world-class cost, quality and
delivery.
